HOME PORTRAITS
There is nothing more touching than receiving a painting of one's home. Many clients have commissioned a home portrait for an anniversary gift, Father's Day, Mother's Day, Christmas and birthdays. A home portrait also makes an excellent Realtor closing gift, too. I have been commissioned to paint the home someone grew up in to be given to their parents as an anniversary gift. In one case, the home I painted was torn down after the owners moved - they will always have their painting to remember their home that is no longer there. This is a meaningful gift that will be cherished for years to come.
Home portrait in watercolor. I absolutely love painting people's homes and being able to be part of the gifting in that way. First, painting architectural details is my love and is what I went to college for, to become an architect. After my career in architecture and interior design for several years, I enjoy architecture by creating a painting of it! The icing on the cake is that I hear your story of your special place and of the gifting!!!
